Thanksgiving
This sketch is from Little Scraps of Heaven. All the paper is from My Digital Studio, the little turkey is from Little Scraps of Heaven. This is a digital page but I really think I need to redo the page, the turkey would be really cute as a 3-D turkey with the feathers textured using a embossing folder.

I"m on a roll
I've been averaging a card a day thanks to My Digital Studio. Love it.
The color combo came from Stamping 411 and the sketch is from Create with Connie
I'm still learning all the tricks of using MDS. The background paper is a white embossed digi paper I imported into the program, I changed the opacity so the tempting turquiose paper would show through and look embossed. I'm still trying to figure out how to get my digi stamps imported. I thought I had them in there but they aren't where I think they should be.

Sketch Saturday had a sketch that I couldn't resist using to make a card
The color challenge came from Rubberredneck
Now I've got to get back to reality and get my house cleaned and a cake decorated for my son's 2nd birthday party.

Birthday card
I bought My Digital Studio a few months ago but I never thought I would love the program as much as I do. With a toddler and a baby it makes it so easy to create projects. No more chasing down the toddler because he has snagged something from my craft table and I don't feel like a basketball player as I search for the perfect embellishment. ( One arm up keeping the toddler away from the drawer while franticly digging through the drawer. Yep crafting has because more peaceful.

my first attempt at a digital card
I'm trying my hand at digital stamping, still not sure I enjoy it as much as I do actually touching the paper, embellishments and stamps but I did have fun playing with the new to me stamp sets that came with My Digital Studio.
The challenge over at Staming 411 is to use basic grey, pacific point and bashful blue

Mother's Day poem
Wow I can't beleive it's been almost 3 months since I've posted anything to my blog.
I sat down this weekend and made a gift for mother's day. I modified the gift from a project we made at a stamp class with my local SU! demo. We made the most elegant wallhanging compete with paper roses made from a punch. I really wanted the wallhanging to say more than Happy Mother's Day so I searched online for a poem followed the sketch from The Pixie Cottage and came up with this gift.
All the paper is from SU! and the strip at the bottom is punched using a scallop punch from SU!. The large scallop square is from Micheals, it came as a book of 6 with a book ring. I used the crop a dile to punch another hole to create the wallhanging and covered the cardboard with Chocolate Chip paper. I used my Wishblade to cut out the flowers from Rose Red paper and then edged each flower with white ink to create a two tone flower. I followed the cutting guide given by my SU! demo to create the 3-D roses. The ribbon is sheer ribbon from Dollar Tree (I think).
There were several blogs that challenged their readers to either use flowers or to make your own flowers so this project has been submitted to the following blogs
Tellen's Place
Pollycraft Challenge blog
The Pink Elephant
p.s. I managed to delete how to place a direct link in the body of your blog and can't remember the exact code. Anyone have the code I'll go back in and fix it so my links are clickable. Thanks

little angel
Ever since getting back from Christmas vacation I have been just exhausted. I've been napping when my son naps and going to bed when he goes to bed. I finally have my energy back so I can create a few cards after he's gone to bed.
This card is for a ton of challenges. I had planned on getting the card done sooner but I had also put off housework so I had to catch up on that. I'm not sure if some of the challenges are still current challenges but I'll list them anyways.
The color combo over at Pals paper arts was Pretty in pink, Melon mambo and Basic black
The sketch came from Friday Sketcher's
Paper makeup stamps challenged us to use pink and bling. I used the new SU paper pack sending love which has glitter on the paper. I also used fun flock on the cloud and two tones dusting powder on the angel's wings for bling.
Over at Tellen's Place they played a tic tac toe game. The three items I chose were buttons, punch and ribbon. I used my Wishblade to cut out the circles and my new SU punch to cut the loops on the long rectangle.
Both Polly Craft and Crafty Creation's challenged us to use something with wings.

Tellen's Place week 3
Over at Tellen's Place the challenge this week was to create a card using thier sketch.
This isn't the best picture but it's the only one out of 10 that didn't come out blurry. Just have to love technology. I used twinkling H2O's on the rose but you can't see any of the sparkle, I painted 2 roses, cut out the center section and used a pop dot to make it 3-D. If you look real carefully you can see the organza bow I placed on the center strip.

The 3 strips of patterned paper is from my stash, the pink background paper is a digital paper from Funky fairies.

tellen's Place week 2
Oye! What a week. We ended up extending our vacation by 2 days because of the artic air that moved into the area. We just didn't think it was wise to travel 12 hours with a 1 year old with the wind chill in the negatives. Last Tuesday hubby came home from work with a sharp stabbing pain on the right side around his waist. I finally got him convinced he NEEDED to go to the ER and Wed at noon he had his apendix taken out. Thankfully he's not overly needy when he's sick but my craft room is upstairs and the living room where he's camped out is out of ear shot. Not much creating happened this last week. He's doing really well so I'm hoping to get a few more cards made this week. There were so many great challenges this week I'm really bummed I was only able to get one card finished.

WIll you be my valentine
This super cute image came from Cute Daisy May
The challenge over at their blog is to create something with love in mind. This image reminds me of my niece and I thought it would be the perfect Valentine card for her.
The sketch is from Sketch and Stash I had to leave part of the sketch off until this weekend, we are visiting family for the holidays and I didn't bring a lot of supplies. I plan on adding 3 small hearts above the image to complete the card.
The color combo of red and pink came from Sweet and sassy stamps
Over at Flutter by Wednesdays since they have a new blog the challenge was to use something new. I used a new paper pack from SU! that was delivered the day before we left for my parents house.
hearts was on the agenda over at A Spoonful of Sugar

I'm blue
We are still visiting family for the holidays and I traveled with a very light amount of craft supplies so I'm very limited on the amount of challenges I can participate in.
The challenge this week over Tellen's Place at was to create a card with blue and silver. I packed one sheet of silver paper and some of my patterned paper was mostly blue so I was set for this challenge.
Paper Makeup Stamps also had a challenge to use either silver and blue or black and silver.
The sketch is from Tuesday Morning Sketches
The Pixie Cottage challenged us to use buttons. I didn't pack buttons so I borrowed a few from my mom. She has a huge button collection so it took me well over an hour to decide on which buttons to use. So many choices.
