Love is in the air

Hello everyone and Welcome to Love is in the Air Blog Hop!
Valentine’s Day has to be one of my favorite holidays next to Christmas and Thanksgiving. I love the décor, flowers, candy, balloons, and stuffed animals and let’s not forget the cheesy cards! Valentine’s Day is that one special day we can show extra love and appreciation to all of those special people we have in our lives.  To celebrate Valentines Day, I have a group of talented designers that have created their own special project to showcase.
We hope you enjoy hopping away and as always we hope to inspire you!

Lluvia will be giving away a grand prize, all you have to do is comment on each of the designer’s blog! Winner will be picked on 2/5, please leave your email address!

If you came from Elecia you are in the right direction!

For my project I made a heart shaped card. It doesn't stand up on it's own and I don't have anything to stand it up with so I took a picture flat. The love birds are a pattern from Scrappy Dew and the rose is a paper rose I made from Scraptastical Kreations.

Now on to Melisa -

It includes paper, stickers, metal embellies, adhesive, mists, stencils, a journal and more. Be sure to check back on Tuesday, Jan 22 to see who won.  You should have came from Lucy's blog. if you didn't, the hop starts here.

For my winter project I made a clear acetate card. The snowflakes are a font I found online. The penguin inside is from Scrappy Dew.

I used the digital paper pack Warm and Cozy which you can download at Hot Berry Designs for free over the weekend. If you enjoy digital paper be sure to either follow my blog or my facebook page. I'll be in a blog train that starts Feb 1st and runs through the 15th so you don't miss out.

For my project I made a 2 page hybrid layout using digital paper from Hot Berry Designs and paper piecings from Scrappy Dew. The digital paper is from the paper pack Winter Wishes II. I used pieces from 3 different Scrappy Dew paper piecing sets to create the scene at the bottom of the page. The trees came from Trimming the tree, the pond came from Daddy Fishing (I made an outline to create snow around the pond) and the penguins are from Skating penguins. I made my own glitter paper for the shimmering ice by spraying Krylon Easy Tack on plain cardstock and sprinkling translucent blue glitter on top.

For my project I  made a hybrid layout. The layout background and the photo mat paper is digital paper from Hot Berry Design's Girly Girly Night Out. I designed it in a digital program then printed it out. I then placed paper piecings from KaDoodle Bug Designs on my layout.
