Harvesting Memories Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the Harvesting Memories Blog Hop. If you started at the beginning you should have came from Carla's blog. If you are starting with me  please go to Lisa's blog to see all the fabulous projects.

For my project I created a luminary. I picked up some flameless candles at Dollar Tree and I love making luminaries for different seasons, maybe because my kids LOVE candles and I don’t mind the flameless candles.

I used several files from Scraptastical Kreations to create the luminary. The main section of the luminary is a rectangle with the label tag from "Label it! Tag it! Frame it!" placed on top. I welded a rectangle to the bottom of the tag so it does look a little different than what’s in the set. I used the leaves from “The Perfect Fall” an embossing mat and my embossing tool to create the vellum.
The turkey is from "Turkey time", and the sunflower is from "Fancy flowers", flower #2

Earlier this month I created these cute little name card holders to place on our table, they were the inspiration for my luminary. I thought the table needed a centerpiece to compliment the name card holders.

The next stop is Alicia

Here is the line up in case you got lost along the way.

Holiday Planner

Today's project is a Holiday Planner/ organizer. The organizer is 6 x 9. The perfect size to hold all your lists, cards, tags and other items to make the Holidays a little less hectic.  The little mouse on the cover is a paper piecing file from Scraptastical Kreations called Merry Mice-mas. The Holiday Planner title and mat I created in my program.

For these pages I created the things to do file and calendar myself. The recipes title uses pieces from Merry Mice-mas and Chop til you drop, you can find both sets at Scraptastical Kreations. I added the word recipes on top and created the mat.

The mailbox is my favorite page of the book, I just love how it turned out. The mailbox and the card came from the Dear Santa file, also from Scraptastical Kreations.

For these 2 pages I used the gift box from Merry Mice-mas and the scissors on the coupons and ads title came from an image I found online.

The little Rudolph on the tag came from Gift Card holder 1 at Scraptastical Kreations

I am entering this in the Anything goes challenge over at http://scrapping4funchallenges.blogspot.com/

Freshly Made Sketches 106

I had hopes of getting 3 cards completed today but my baby girl had other plans so I only finished 2 cards. I'll have to work on the other card tomorrow or Tuesday because I need it Wed evening.
For this card I followed the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. I used the paper piecing files "Hey Pumpkin" for the pumpkin and the sunflowers and "Sophisticated Scallops"  from Scraptastical Kreations. The pumpkin and sunflowers were embossed.

soccer boy using sketch from Sketch Saturday.

I'm a day late for National Card making day but I was busy yesterday so while hubby sat and watched NFL games I made a few cards.
This little cute soccer boy is a paper piecing file from Scrappy Dew. This little guy is perfect for the thank you card for my son's soccer coach. The card sketch is from Sketch Saturday

She has graciously offered a $15 gift certificate to her store.  To be eligible to win the gift certificate you must comment on all the blogs and leave a comment on Scraptastical Kreation's facebook fanpage.  A winner will be randomly selected and posted on Scraptastical Kreation's fanpage on Mon Oct 7th.

$15 Gift Certificate

For my project I made a little book to hold inspirational quotes. As a general rule I try not to work on finishing details of a project when I"m tired but it's been a crazy week so I quickly sat down to finish up my project late last night. This is supposed to be an inspirational book so why I made a sad little girl on the cover I'm not sure, I guess she was reflecting my mood at the moment. The little girl from Scraptastical Kreations she's in a set called Apple Blossoms. I ran out of room for her hat and replaced the apple with a pink cancer ribbon.

Thank you for joining us for our hop, the next stop is Robin

Cut it up challenge #26

I'm home schooling my 2 boys so I created a form to organize our lesson plans. When I saw the challenge over at Cut it up Challenges I knew it was time to stop procrastinating and finally create a cute cover for my lesson plan book.

I used files from Scraptastical Kreations to create my cover. I love mixing files and this project is no different as I used 4 different files. The yellow "sun" came from Sophisticated Scallops , the dino is from Dino-mite Birthday , the books are from I heart reading and the apple is from Apple Blossoms

I found the paper at a local scrapbook store, the giraffe head came from a pattern called A Day at hte Zoo from Scraptastical Kreations. I really struggled with the giraffe herd at the bottom of the page but I love how it turned out.

I had the hardest time trying to figure out what to make for this hop, but as I was digging through my stash I found numerous projects that I had started but never finished, I'm pretty sure all the projects were started 2 duty stations ago (shh don't tell my husband that we've moved them twice and they STILL aren't finished) . I love making word books and I found at least 6 wordbooks I haven't finished so I sat down and finished this one.
All of the paper is from The Angel Company that I've had it at least 7 years. The stamps are also from The Angel Company they are at least 5 years old
