For my project I am showcasing a Star Album I made.

Here is the album closed.

 A top view of the book. You can see why it is called a star book.

The next several pictures are the inside pages of the book. There are a total of 7 different pages.

I placed the word family on acetate and created a slide mechanism so when the book is open you can reach in between the pages and pull the acetate up making it seem as if the word is floating over the book. Next time I make it I'll more the sliding mechanism to a different page so the pages tied open aren't showcased.

Aiden's birthday blog hop

A fellow design team member's son turns 5 today. A few of us made a card to send to him. For my card I decided to make a waterfall card, because what 5 year doesn't like an interactive card. I found the directions for the card at Splitcoast Stampers 

I found the angry bird clipart I used for the background paper here I imported the images into photoshop then created a background behind it to make my very own angry birds background paper. 

I mainly do paper piecings now and it's been a very long a very long time since I pulled out my colored pencils. Don't look to closely at the colored images, I really need to find all the supplies I use when using gamsol odorless mineral spirits over my colored pencils. I regular q-tip just doesn't cut it lol.

Feel Better Nurse

Who wouldn't want this cute little nurse to bring them a bandaid. 

The Sketch for this card came from Techno Stamper.

This adorable little nurse is a paper piecing from Kadoodle Bug Designs. The paper is from a paper pack called Tutti Frutti from The Angel Company, which can now be found at Red Rubber Designs.  

The challenge over at The Pink Elephant was to create your own embellishments. I put mod podge on the three small bandaids to make them look like brads.

 

Kristi W designs piggin out sweeties using Techno Stamper sketch

I just love all of the new Kristi W designs that Kadoodle Bug Designs has be creating. For this card I used  piggin out sweeties. The paper is digital paper from magsgraphics called lakehouse. I love the masculine look of this paper.

June Flower fairies using Technotampers sketch

For this card I used June Flower Fairies from KaDoodle Bug Designs  For the fairy's wings I cut the wings from white cardstock. I then sprayed the wings with spray adhesive and put superfine glitter on them. Voila glitter paper.  I used DCWV paper, dry embossed it with a cuttlebug folder then used a sanding block to let the white core show through. 

The sketch came from Techno Stamper I rotated the sketch.

For my 2nd project I made a silverware holder for a BBQ. I spray painted a 6 pack container with khaki Krylon Spray paint. My little boy and little girl are from the Let's go hiking set, as are the hamburgers and hot dogs. The chef hats are from the Chef Owl card.  The watermelon at the little chefs' feet is from Watermelon bear.

  For my project I created a wordbook using Funtime software. My favorite thing about paper piecings is the ability to mix files to create the exact image you want, so inside the wordbook I used a variety of summer files from the new patterns section of the KaDoodle Bug Designs website.

  page 4: I mixed a few patterns to create this page. I used the standing boy from Building Sandcastles and turned him into a little girl by adding pigtails and a shirt. The shirt came from birthday party kids. The pitcher of kool-aid came from Keepin' it kool title. The little boy on the scooter is from Birthday Party kids. Techno Stamper's sketch using Too cute to be green

The sketch at Techno Stamper this week was so easy to follow. Here's the card I put together.

My card uses Too Cute to be green from Kadoodle Bug Designs and the paper is from a digital collection called Boys and Girls of Summer by Shel Belle Scraps and The Scrappy Kat. 

Gone Fishing

I had to flip the sketch sideways to get the look I wanted but this card uses the sketch from Seems a little sketchy. All the elements on this card are paper piecings from Kadoodle Bug Designs. The boy in the boat and the bobbers are from the Gone Fishing set and the sun button and the cattails are from the Too Cute to be Green set.
